SFBEAMS CONTACT INFORMATION

The San Francisco Bay Environmental Assessment and Monitoring Station (SF-BEAMS) is operated and housed at RTC.  The station continuously monitors San Francisco Bay water quality and weather conditions at a location approximately 200 ft offshore on the RTC pier. As soon as these measurements are taken they are immediately transferred to the SF-BEAMS website (http://sfbeams.sfsu.edu), where they are available in near real-time and from archived files.

SF-BEAMS is a charter member of a larger distributed observatory known as CICORE (Center for Integrative Coastal Observation, Research, and Education) that monitors marine environments along the entire coast of California.  SF_BEAMS and CICORE are charter members of the CeNCOOS (Central and NorthernCalifornia Ocean Observing System).
